We had a private tea party today for our friends as a trial run and to see how it would all work. It went splendidly and we can’t wait to announce our next event! One of the best things about putting on an afternoon tea is plotting what to make and which sweets and savouries work well together. This is what we made… Brie & sweet chilli jam sandwiches, goats cheese & sweet potato tarts, cheese & apple scones, lemon & stem ginger cheeesecake, buttermilk scones with clotted cream & blueberry jam, chocolate raspberry mini-cakes, rhubarb friands with sugared mint, mini banoffee pies and custard tarts. We had two different types of tea, afternoon and a lapsang souchong blend and to finish, violet & chocolate macarons and passion fruit, basil & white chocolate macarons. It was a really lovely afternoon and we are super excited about planning the next event. All of our future events will be themed – think Alice in Wonderland, Americana, Parisian Spring, Cocktails and Florals… In the meantime, here are some photos from today.
